Some of the girls and boys of EV had a great day out in Castletown as the Big Act welcoming the Olympic Torch.

Some of the girls really got into the swing of things, literally. Makes me laugh!

There was a great crowd in Castletown square to see the kids having some fun on the Trampet and Air Track. I think the public were suitably impressed by the assorted flicks, tucks, springs & twists. The boys showed off their strength on the mushroom while the girls impressed with the balance on the beam.

However, I’m sure it all just looked like a load of kids having a laugh. Which they were! (pic of the little ones joining in with the samba band to follow!)

Earlier in the day, one of our former Gymnasts, Emily Dale-Beeton carried the torch into Douglas and was a welcome addition to the proceedings in Castletown as it gave the gymnasts a chance to see (and hold) one of the Torches.
